Shaw Park is the grand old lady of Ocho Rios hotels, and hence bagged one of the best private beaches in Jamaica, a 1,500ft beauty at the secluded and picturesque Cutlass Bay. A recent refurbishment and change of management has left it looking rather good indeed. There's an elegant lobby lounge, and a handsome dining room. Fresh tropical fruits and local seafood are a highlight of the well-regarded food, which is prepared both buffet-style and à la carte. There's a large, oval-shaped swimming pool in the beautiful tropical gardens, which stretch up into the hills. But you'll doubtless be spending most of your time on that great beach, where various water sports are available. You are quite close to Dunn's River Falls here, so make sure you visit!

Food and Drink

Georgian dining room for formal dining (surcharge applies). Informal Palm Terrace restaurant (buffet and à la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner). Both serve international fare, including plenty of traditional Jamaican favourites. Elegant lobby lounge and separate comfortable lounge overlooking the sea. Beach bar.
